Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Arthur website, web application, and related services. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. Our agreement

Who we are

ARTHUR FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES LTD (“Arthur”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a company registered in England and Wales.

  • Registered office: 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU
  • Company number: 17026792
  • Incorporated: 11 February 2026

Regulatory status

Arthur is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) as an Account Information Service Provider (“AISP”), and Arthur does not provide payment services. If bank-account connectivity is offered, that connectivity will be provided through a separate FCA-authorised Open Banking partner (details will be added when appointed).

Acceptance

By accessing or using arthur-app.com (the website), web.arthur-app.com (the web app), and related services and features (together, the “Service”), you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Other documents

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Please keep a copy of these Terms for your records.

2. The Service

Arthur is a personal finance information and dashboard service designed to help you organise and view financial information in one place.

Eligibility

Unless we state otherwise, the Service is intended for individuals who are:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Using the Service for personal, non-business purposes

Features

Depending on availability, the Service may allow you to:

  • Create an account and access the web app
  • View dashboards, summaries, and insights
  • Connect certain financial accounts and view balances or transactions through a regulated Open Banking partner (when enabled)

Your bank, card issuer, or other account provider does not sponsor or endorse Arthur unless we explicitly state this.

Arthur provides information and tools only. Arthur does not provide financial advice. Your circumstances are unique, and you should make your own decisions or seek professional advice where appropriate.

3. Access to the Service

You access the Service through:

  • arthur-app.com (marketing site)
  • web.arthur-app.com (logged-in web application)

You must keep login credentials confidential. Do not share passwords, verification codes, or access tokens. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by our failure to provide reasonable security.

You are responsible for keeping your devices secure and maintaining reliable internet access.

4. Connected accounts (Open Banking) - when available

If account connections are provided, you will connect through an independent FCA-authorised Open Banking partner. You will be redirected to your bank and/or the partner consent screens to authorise access.

We can access account data only to the extent permitted by your consent. You can usually withdraw consent and disconnect accounts through the Service and/or your bank connected-apps area (depending on the bank/provider).

Arthur does not initiate payments, transfer funds, or operate as a bank. The Service is designed to display and analyse information.

Information shown in the Service may come from your bank or other third parties. We do not guarantee it is complete, up to date, or error free. You remain responsible for checking official bank statements and records.

Your use of Open Banking is also subject to:

  • Your bank terms
  • The Open Banking partner terms and privacy notice

We will name the partner in these Terms once appointed.

Where you connect accounts, you authorise us (and our Open Banking partner) to receive and process relevant account data to provide the Service, in line with our Privacy Policy.

If we introduce identity checks or similar controls in future, we may request additional information to keep the Service safe and compliant. We will explain requirements at that time.

5. Privacy and cookies

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that policy applies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • Attempt to access or interfere with systems, servers, networks, or the Service without authorisation
  • Introduce malicious code or attempt to bypass security controls
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service without written permission (standard search indexing of the public marketing site is generally permitted)
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying methods, except where the law allows
  • Upload or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful

7. Third-party services and links

The Service may reference or link to third-party sites, tools, or services. Those third parties control their own services, and your use of them is at your own risk.

We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or policies. Always review third-party terms before using those products.

8. Charges, connectivity, and security

  • Data charges: You are responsible for internet or mobile data charges incurred while using the Service.
  • Keeping yourself secure: We use reasonable measures to protect the Service, and you are responsible for appropriate security on your devices (for example, current software and strong passwords).

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, security, features, or business operations.

If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by notice in the Service or on our website). Continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted or error free.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will meet every requirement you may have
  • Insights, categorisations, or summaries will always be accurate
  • Third-party data sources (including banks) will always be available

Any reliance you place on information provided by the Service is at your own risk. Always verify important information directly with your bank or provider.

11. Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
  • If we breach these Terms, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach or negligence. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable.
  • The Service is for personal use. We are not liable for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business, or business interruption.
  • We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party outages or issues (including banks or Open Banking providers), your devices or connectivity, security failures on your side, or inaccurate data supplied by third parties.

12. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Service (including branding, design, text, software, and underlying systems) are owned by or licensed to ARTHUR FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGIES LTD (“Arthur”).

You may use the Service only for personal use. You must not copy, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service unless we provide written permission.

13. Feedback and suggestions

If you submit feedback or suggestions, you agree that we may use them to improve the Service without obligation to you (including without payment), unless we agree otherwise in writing.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access to the Service if we reasonably believe:

  • You have breached these Terms
  • Your account poses a security risk
  • Maintenance is required or an incident needs to be handled

You can stop using the Service at any time. Account closure options may be available within the web app. If you need assistance, contact Privacy@arthur-app.com.

15. Linking to our website

  • You may link to public pages of arthur-app.com, provided the link is lawful and does not mislead users or damage our reputation.
  • You must not imply endorsement, partnership, or approval by Arthur where none exists.
  • We may withdraw linking permission if your site or content is unlawful, misleading, or harmful.

16. General terms

  • No assignment by you: You may not transfer rights or obligations under these Terms without written consent.
  • Assignment by us: We may transfer rights or obligations as part of a reorganisation, sale, or similar event, provided your legal rights are not reduced.
  • Severability: If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver: If we do not enforce a right immediately, that does not waive the right.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

17. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by English law. If you are a consumer, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, and you may also have rights to bring proceedings in Scotland or Northern Ireland depending on where you live.

18. Contact, enquiries, and complaints

For questions, support, or complaints, contact Privacy@arthur-app.com.

If your complaint relates to privacy or data protection, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Thank you for using Arthur.
